School Recycling Shows

Teachers, call now to make reservations.  The City’s Department of Environmental Services and the Honolulu Theatre for Youth (HTY)are partnering for a sixth consecutive year to bring recycling education shows to more than 20,000 students around Oahu.


Sold Out! February 2017: The extremely popular “Sort It Out” travelling show is back!  Book a free 60-minute recycling performance workshop for your school.  Performers entertain the students with songs, games and skits that effectively educate them about the City’s three-cart curbside recycling program.  Schools also receive recycling educational materials to use in the classroom.  Reserve early because shows are limited.  Contact HTY Managing Director for details. 839-9885 (Ext 703) or email manager@htyweb.org.

April 13-May 12: Schedule a field trip or join one of the public performances to see "Shocka: The Story of Energy in Hawaii". If energy powers our bodies, brains, cars and the entire universe, how do we wrap our minds around how it all works?
