Reduce and Reuse
Buy Less... Use Less... Use It Again

Reduce - "Buy Less, Use Less"

Reduce is the first of the three R’s — Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Reducing what you consume is a simple concept. Buy less and use less so there is less waste. Businesses can save money, both in purchasing and waste disposal costs, by implementing a waste prevention strategy.

Reuse - "Use It Again"

Reuse is the second of the three R’s — Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. If you have items that you no longer need or want, consider reuse options before disposal. There are numerous nonprofit organizations around Oahu involved in reuse operations. Some provide pickup service; others ask that you deliver it to their location. A donation of goods to a qualified nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status may provide a tax deduction for the donor. Check the listings below for an organization that suits your needs. Be sure to check with the organizations for details and procedures.
